About Us

The La Mesa Citizen Oversight Group is all volunteer private society of citizens seeking to shine the bright light of public knowledge on the doings and dealings of local government. To accomplish this we will promote awareness, discussions and citizen involvement in many areas such as public policy, the use of public resources and finances, tax and fee issues, legislative acts, private property rights, unintended consequences, public employee and public official pay, benefits and expense accounts. We are a watchdog organization dedicated to promoting accountable, cost-effective and efficient government and opposing burdensome and unnecessary taxes, fees, regulations, and policies.

Participation is open for people who live or work in the City of La Mesa and surrounding areas. As a participant you can stay informed, take part in policy discussions, help create candidate questionnaires and interact with a network of involved community members.
